John and I are so lucky to have you all as friends and family. We’ll say it now up until January and beyond, but we are truly humbled and so happy that you are in our lives and in many cases will be traveling to celebrate our wedding with us. Those are the real wedding gifts.
We’re also not super-spring chickens and in our early adulthood have managed to accumulate much of whats needed for a working household.
If you insist on honoring our special day with a special gift, please do not feel obligated, but we would be glad to have your support. In ‘old world’ tradition, you could bring an envelope to the wedding, or with modern conveniences, you can donate through PayPal, right here:
(Fine Print: If you donate here, we will pay a small transaction fee. However, if you send money to one of our email addresses as ‘friends and family’ through your PayPal account, there is no charge as long as you have a bank account linked to your account. Bekkah’s email address is: rebekkahwillis@gmail.com and John’s is: johnsheetz@juno.com)
Please note that a percentage of all donations will be made in the name of our families and friends to the Alzheimer’s Project in Tallahassee, where Bekkah serves on the board, and to the Boy’s Home of Bortnyky, Ukraine, where John served. The members of the Boys Home will keep you in their prayers for your generosity.
So what does a young, married couple need? Mostly, debt relief. In an effort to start out right, we are paying down car loans, student loans, and a mortgage. The breakdown looks something like this:
$10 – two new bike tubes or a week’s gas (for our commutes to work)
$20 – about a day’s mortgage payment
$30 – a date night out (yeah!)
$50 – about 3 days of car loan payments
$75 – a week’s student loan payments
$100 – a teacher’s monthly salary in Ukraine
$150 – About a week’s mortgage payment
$600 – About a month’s mortgage payment
